April 13, 2011 Pds. 1, 3 & 6: Chpt. 12 discussion with applied focus on poems 150 & 140 Poetry handouts on Brit/Am Lit. Periods & Imagery distributed Assigned chpt. 13, with applying poems 153 thru 157 to Perrine’s narrative (no responses to the questions; complete ex. 1 on pg. 210 Set up poetry unit record sheet (get sheet from me if absent; copy items please; collate as needed for portfolio) Daily schedule given for the week following break; get from a peer if absent Announcement – all things Heart of Darkness due on Monday, 4/25; section 2 due this Fri.; take portfolio home & review 30min to 1hr. per day over break(survey the materials to survey for the lit. exam) Pds. 4 & 5: Writing section: Improving Paragraphs discussion/strategies with practice test completed (get from yellow tray if absent; complete)
