Discussion of James’ passage for tone & diction

Style devices 7 & 8 – Imagery & Detail – discussion & notes (get from a peer asap; see me to see flipchart examples outside of class time please)

Assigned “Adam Bede” passage with tone & detail paragraphs;  (in yellow tray if absent)typed, attach passage – due on Tuesday

Phases 4 & 5 due on Tues with packet also

Where are you with senior project, one sheet & surveying lit terms for lit glossary?



Pds. 3, 4 & 5:

Cont. reading play: Every period – read from pg. 42, Ellen is bewildered to pg. 53, Henry, “Well, I was a child once myself, briefly.”

Spent last 10 min. of class, sharing Thoreau quote possibilities to copy for Quote Journal (follow directions on hdout; see me as needed if you have any questions)

If absent, room is open by 7 am, break, lunch & after school for rdg., tutoring, makeup

Homework – start a reflective journal entry please
